Pre-production is well underway for Mobile, Alabama based filmmaking group Fighting Owl Films’ independent feature “The Night Shift”, and now you can get your first look at the film’s lead characters. Coinciding with an overhaul of the official website for “The Night Shift”, an online gallery has been added featuring publicity photos of the lead characters, Rue Morgan, Herbie West and Claire Rennfield as portrayed by Khristian Fulmer, Soren Odom and Erin Lilley, respectively. Also available to download from the site are two official desktop wallpapers for “The Night Shift” featuring the leads facing off against the film’s menacing creatures.

The film and filmmakers have received a great deal of support, encouragement and positive buzz from the online community and are looking forward to getting production underway this summer. The feature is based on Fighting Owl Films' short film of the same name which proved an online hit, was positively reviewed in "Fangoria" magazine's online edition earlier in 2009 and has screened in several festivals across the United States.

A supernatural adventure-comedy, “The Night Shift” centers on Rue Morgan, the undead night watchman at Pinewood Oaks Cemetery. Rue, along with his buddy Herb, a limbless corpse, spends his nights trying to keep the cemetery’s cantankerous residents in, and his days dreaming of a date with hard-nosed day-shifter, Claire. It’s an okay afterlife until a scourge of supernatural occurrences leaves Rue not only watching the cemetery, but also watching his back!

Any help would be incredibly appreciated... [ 12:31pm on Friday, 14 Aug 2009 ]

I know this is kind of a strange question... but I'm looking for an old friend...

His name is Thomas Stevens, from the Mobile area... We met via a chatroom when I was younger and become really good friends.

I guess what I can tell you about him is that he was adopted by his aunt and uncle after his parents died in a car accident. He has an older sister named Amy, and if I remember correctly, his adoptive parents names were Helen and David. He used to fix up trucks, and when we were talking, he was working on an old GMC. He came down with meningitis in his teens and had to come up to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota with his dad for treatment. He also had to have surgery on his hand. He used to play basketball, and was interested in going to school for something involving computers. For a while, I know his nicknames were Boomer and Pepper.

Thank you for taking the time to read this...

The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition is pleased to announce the release of its 2008 GENIUS Survey in partnership with Ernst & Young.  GenderPAC works to ensure that classrooms, communities and workplaces are safe for everyone to learn, grow and succeed.

The Gender Equality National Index for Universities & Schools (GENIUS), GenderPAC’s most recent effort to end discrimination and promote awareness, encourages colleges and universities to recognize the benefits of a GenderSAFEtm campus - supportive equitable and protective for all students. Choosing to participate in GENUIS sends a strong public statement that bullying or discriminating based on the race, sex or gender of a student, faculty, or staff member is not tolerated at your institution

Fill out the survey at:  www.gpac.org/GENIUS2008survey, and make sure that we have data for as many schools as possible. Your voice will help us continue to work towards a safe and welcoming environment for every student.

While we greatly appreciate the interest taken in GENIUS by students, staff and faculty at academic institutions outside of the United States, at this time GENIUS is only able to track schools based in the United States.

I need to get rid of my bass amp. It's a Behringer BX3000. 300 watts. Less than 2 years old. List is $275, and it's barely been played. Has a channel footswitch, also.

I'll sell it for $200, or trade it. I need an acoustic. If you have something in a comparable range, let me know.

help? [ 07:12pm on Friday, 04 Apr 2008 ]

hello, my name is nicole evans.
i'm new to this community and, as you may notice, am not from mobile.

however, a few years ago i became really close to a guy from mobile named thomas stevens.

his adoptive parents' names are helen and david, and he has a sister named amy. i know that he is from the mobile area, but not from mobile specifically. he would be about 20 years old now, and i assume that he would be going to school somewhere nearby.

i know that all of this is very vague, but if anyone would be able to help, i would greatly appreciate it. i've been trying to get back in contact with him for months but always come up unsuccessful.

thank you for reading this at least.
